House Rules

Something Strange: Reavers of the North uses the Blackened Veins House Rules, with a few changes, to better reflect the Sabbat genre.

Changes to Section IV: Player Character ("PC") Creation
A. Clans:
1. Always allowed: Tzimisce and Lasombra.
2. Always allowed (unless overpopulated): Brujah antitribu, Gangrel (City and Country), Malkavian antitribu, Nosferatu antitribu, Salubri antitribu, Toreador antitribu, Ventrue antitribu
3. All other Clans may be considered on a case by case basis, but require Staff approval and may require additional OWBN approvals.
4. Before being allowed to play a clan that is not stated in 1 or 2, a Player must play an Active PC from the Clans listed in 1 or 2 for at least 6 months.

B. Morality:
1. Always allowed: Humanity, Caine, Cathari, Death and the Soul, Feral Heart, Honorable Accord, Metamorphosis, Night (and its variants), Orion, Power and the Inner Voice, Redemption
2. All other Moralties may be considered on a case by case basis, but require Staff approval and may require additional OWBN approvals.

Changes to Section VI: Disciplines
D. Chimerstry:
5. Apparition: Unlike as written, if a person wishes to change the movement/actions of their apparition, they must spend a point of blood for each action or group of actions. For example, if the player with Chimerstry were to create the image of a homeless man begging at the street corner, it would take a point of blood to animate him to speak and beg for money. In order for the player to get him to stand up and start dancing for attention, the player would need to spend another point of blood. Once the creator stops paying attention to their creation, the illusion can continue to exist until eventually fading away (as stated in Ignus Fatuus).
